NM Club Cheer (NMCC) offers cheer teams, tumbling classes, clinics, and special training opportunities throughout the year for athletes of various ages and skill levels. Private tumbling lessons are also available on our tumbling page.
Programs are available for athletes from Kindergarten through 8th grade, depending on the program and skill level.
Athletes are placed based on teams mainly by age, some instances by skill level. There is no tryout or experience required, teams are first come first serve. Athletes are placed by skill level, experience, and readiness for tumbling classes. Coaches may evaluate athletes to ensure proper and safe placement.
Yes. Tumbling classes are separate from team practices and team tumbling. Team athletes may participate in tumbling classes but must register separately.
All registrations are completed online through our website. Program availability is limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Season timelines and practice schedules vary by program and will be communicated prior to the start of each season.
Fall Season usually runs mid August to mid December.
Spring season usually runs mid February through mid May.
Summer usually consists of June and July camps, clinics, etc.
Athletes should wear appropriate athletic attire, cheer shoes or clean athletic shoes, hair secured out of the face, and no jewelry..
Regular attendance is expected for all practices and classes. Absences should be communicated in advance when possible. Fall teams will have mandatory blackout dates two weeks prior to competitions.
All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Please review program-specific policies prior to registration.
Athlete safety is a top priority. NMCC follows established safety guidelines, uses progressive skill development, and ensures proper supervision and equipment use at all times. All coaches are trained in safety courses and concussion protocol. Each team coach is background checked and holds a USA Cheer Membership.
Communication is sent via email and/or team communication platforms like GroupMe. Parents are responsible for staying informed and checking messages regularly.
Weather-related cancellations or schedule changes will be communicated as soon as possible through official NMCC communication channels.
